During her presentation, Dr. Castro presented the solutions of Eurospital, a leading Italian company in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases. With a long history in the sector and recognized by the patent for transglutaminase, Eurospital is distinguished by its specialized approach, structured in three key divisions: diagnostics, medicines and food, all dedicated to the gastrointestinal area, which evidences its deep knowledge and experience in this area.
Together with the attendees, we reviewed the turbidimetric tests for Calprotectin, Pancreatic Elastase, FOB and Helicobacter Pylori, fundamental for the identification of intestinal inflammation and irritable bowel syndrome, pancreatic insufficiency, intestinal bleeding and chronic infections, respectively. In particular, the importance of the quantitative diagnosis of fecal occult blood as an early marker of colon cancer was highlighted.
It was a pleasure to participate in this exchange and present Eurospital's solutions, which allow standardized and automated results to be obtained in just 10 minutes, with a simple, safe and highly reproducible pre-analytical process in sample collection.
